Our partners
Typically, our partners are teams from established medical device companies working to develop new or improved products for their market. These partnerships work best where our partner’s expertise is focused on product design, testing and approval. Southern Lights expertise is focused on providing the core material to provide the specified properties.

Such products include:
•    Tissue reengineering scaffolds
•    Wound care products
•    Percutaneous heart valves
•    Other bovine tissue based solutions

Current projects
At any one time we are working on several projects which proceed at the pace dictated by our partners. Current projects include:
•    Type I collagen for a dental application
•    Processed pericardium suitable for a trans-catheter delivery heart valve
•    Pericardium thickness and uniformity control improvements

Inquiries
Southern Lights welcome inquiry. We have received and would welcome inquiry in novel areas such as:
•    Alternative Types of collagen (e.g. Type I soluble, Type II) and forms e.g. gel
•    Other bovine body parts e.g. aorta
